BC Sport Cheer (BCSC) awarded $14,000 in sport grant opportunities for member athletes for the 2025-2026 season! 

We had originally budgeted $7,000, but after receiving a record number of applications, we were able to double the number of grants.

Grants awarded this year:

• Recreational Only Athletes (8 grants at $250)
• People of Colour (4 grants at $500)
• Indigenous Athletes (4 grants at $500)
• Newcomers (landed immigrants who came to Canada up to five years prior) (4 grants at $500)
• LGBTQIA2S+ Athletes (4 grants at $500)
• Athlete with a disability (4 grants at $500)
• Financial aid (4 grants at $500)

How does it work?

• Applicants (or their parent/guardian) fill out the application form, and BCSC confirms eligibility.
• BCSC will contact the successful recipient AND their program to notify of award.
• BCSC will send the grant funds to the program to be applied to the recipient's account by December 20, 2025.

Preference may be given to those who have not received a grant from BC Sport Cheer in the past three (3) years.
